Designer Installation

This section explains how to install Designer.

To install Designer, complete the following steps:

Run the Designer installation file.

Select the language to use and click Next.

Read the End User License Agreement, check agree, and click Next.

Select the type of designer to install and click Next.

5. Select the Window Mode and click Next.

6. Select the Designer authority and click Next.

The option setting for Windows permission is to set the designer or bot.

Designers or bots are run with administrator rights when installing with administrator rights (user rights are the opposite).

Accounts with user rights have the following restrictions.

1. SAP library

2. Attended Bot (Schedule when creating a work plan)

3. Credential (Automatically unlock screen)

7. Select the installation path and click Next.

8. Select the checkbox for installing the virtual keyboard driver, and click Next. This page will not be displayed if the virtual keyboard has already been installed on your PC.

The virtual keyboard installation page does not appear in the case of a virtual environment such as VDI or 64-bit installation.

The virtual keyboard functions like a physical keyboard and can be used where software key input is not possible.

The installation will be completed in 1 to 2 minutes.

9. Click the link to install the Chrome browser and Brity RPA Chrome extension, respectively, and click Next . This page will not appear if it is already installed on your PC.

10. Click Finish to complete the installation.

Once the installation is complete, a shortcut icon will be added to your desktop.

10. Double-click the shortcut icon to verify that Designer runs properly.

Set up using the Brity RPA extension

Setting Brity RPA Extension

The Brity RPA extension is also automatically installed when you install the designer. To use the extension, you need to set it up as shown below.

Setting Edge browser

Install Edge Browser and type edge://extensions in the address bar to go to the Manage Extensions page.

On the Manage Extensions page, find the Brity RPA extension and change it to Enabled. When the below pop-up appears, select "Turn on extensions".

Setting Chrome browser

Install Chrome Browser and type chrome://extensions in the address bar to go to the Manage Extensions page.

On the Manage Extensions page, find the Brity RPA extension and change it to Enabled. When the below pop-up appears, select "Use extensions".

Installing the Brity RPA Extension

Uninstall the Brity RPA extension after installing the designer, and install it manually.

Installing from Edge browser

Install Edge Browser and type edge://extensions in the address bar to go to the Manage Extensions page.

Find the Developer Mode menu on the Manage Extensions page and change it to Enabled.

Find the bmlheacfancpdeohelamgfeojpdbmacg_main.crx file in the designer installation path and drag it to the extension management page.

Click Add extension button, in below pop-up window.

The Brity RPA extension is enabled and installed.

Close the Manage Extensions page.

Installing from Chrome browser

Install Chrome Browser and type chrome://extensions in the address bar to go to the Manage Extensions page.

Close the Manage Extensions page.

Designer Activation

Connected Designer

1. Enter the license key in the "Designer Information" pop-up window.

2. Enter the server address and click Activate . Test the connection and ensure it must be successful.

3. Designer ID is automatically entered when activation is complete.

4. Click the Activate button to register your license and use the designer.

Stand-Alone Designer

Activation problems may occur if the date and time of the computer are not set correctly. Make sure your computer system clock is set to the correct date and time.

Enter the license key in the Designer Information pop-up window and click Activate.

Offline activation

If you can not connect to the authentication server, click Offline Activation.

The offline authentication screen pops up and displays the 12-digit activation request code . (request code is valid for 5 minutes).

4. You can obtain an 8-digit activation code by directly accessing the site address (www.brityworks.ai/license) or accessing the QR code .

When accessing by entering www.brityworks.ai/license address: On the webchat screen, the user directly enters the activation menu, enters a 12-digit request code, and clicks the request button to receive an 8-digit activation code.
When accessing by QR code : Move the activation code to the screen where the 8-digit number is issued.

5. Enter the 8-digit activation code issued at the bottom of the pop-up screen and then click OK.

6. The license activation is completed, the below message box is displayed.

7. Click OK to use the designer.
